NetEase is gearing up for the release of Season 5 of Marvel Rivals, scheduled to launch this Friday, November 14, 2025. Ahead of this much-anticipated launch, a brand new cinematic trailer has been unveiled, introducing two new characters set to join the roster: Gambit and Rogue. Additionally, a Dev Vision video has been released, providing insights into the upcoming season’s changes, including the introduction of a thrilling new Conquest mode.
New Additions to the Roster
Gambit will be the first to join the Marvel Rivals lineup this Friday, bringing his strategic prowess as a new hero. Known as a Strategist, Gambit possesses the ability to heal allies, eliminate negative effects, and inflict damage on foes while applying an anti-heal effect.
Fresh Features and Gameplay
Season 5 introduces a unique map set in New York’s iconic Times Square. Unlike the other maps in Marvel Rivals, this one is a non-combat zone designed for players to socialize and enjoy a more relaxed environment rather than diving straight into competitive play.
Another exciting feature is the new Conquest (Annihilation) mode, an 18v18 competition. Although it won’t be available at the season’s launch, players can look forward to its debut on November 27, 2025, during the ongoing Season 5.
This is all just what NetEase has to show off for Season 5 so far, since under the new seasonal structure it instituted starting with Season 3, each season is broken up into two halves, with one hero added to the roster in each half.
