Dune Awakening players can unlock 5 unique character classes, yet they might wander in the desert like a sandstorm without a map. It’s easy to gain skill points in the game, but using them when you are faced with a complicated skill tree is not. This guide on Finding Quests & Completing them for Basic & Advanced Trainers of All classes with suitable quest will help players get the maximum out of their chosen class. For more information on where to find these major NPCs and unlock their abilities, keep reading.
Understanding the Trainer System
Trainers for each of the five Dune Awakening disciplines; Trooper, Planetologist, Mentat, Swordmaster, and Bene Gesserit can be found throughout the Hagga Basin and beyond. Trainers will offer you quests that, when completed, will give a player the ability to invest points into the skill tree to unlock important new abilities. When creating a character, if you select a starting class, that class will automatically learn basic training, without needing a quest. To open their skill trees, players of the other four classes must find their trainers and do their work. Advanced trainers who unlock high-tier abilities require more effort and complete more difficult challenges.

Trooper: Early Access to Power
It is easy to unlock the Trooper class early in the game. The basic trainer Gavori can be found at Griffin’s Reach Outpost in Hagga Basin South the first settlement most will see. Gavori gives you a large, easy task to defeat a bunch of low level enemies nearby. Doing this unlocks the basic Trooper skill tree. A good tip is to find the glowing orb above Gavori’s head, a feature that every trainer has and makes them easy to spot.
To be able to take the advanced Trooper training, players must head to Archenee. You can find Caraval on the second-floor quest to unlock higher-tier skills. To reach Archenee, you can pay a few thousand solar at an outpost like Griffin’s Reach. Alternatively, you can make your own Ornithopter to go there.
Ensure you are prepared when running Caraval quests, as unexpected events will occur when entering (and exiting) the specified zone. Regular meetings with Caraval in Archenee provide a good evolution in the Trooper discipline.
Planetologist: Exploring the Desert’s Secrets
The Planetologist class isn’t available as a starting option and is support focused. The Planetologist basic trainer as well as advanced trainer named Derek Chinara is in Hagga Basin South. Players can find Derek above Imperial Testing Station #2, where he assigns players a quest to clear it. Completing this unlocks the basic Planetologist skills. Derek does advanced training, but be careful, he’s hard.to find as he’s nomadic. He often travels to Imperial Testing Stations scattered all over Arrakis. Some stations he go to often include #197 in Western Vermilious Gap, #76 in Jabul Erit Aljanoo, and #29 in Hagga Rift. Other stations include #71 and #163 in Odom region. At each location, there are some tasks related to his scientific work. Players should expect to find him at his original Hagga Basin South location or somewhere near these locations, to continue the questline. Check your pace with where your game is at as later quests lead you through high-level areas.
Mentat: Unlocking Mental Mastery
If players want to unlock the Mentat discipline, they will need to head to Hagga Rift, which is a mid-game zone. More specifically, they will need to visit the RiftWatch social area. Seamine Marorrow, a pale woman there, gives the first quest to unlock basic Mentat training. Finishing her task is easy; it allows access to the Mentat skill tree. Advanced training requires a visit to Archenee, home to Zayn Dit, a quirky scholar residing in the ground floor of a bar. His quests are smart but they require a consistent effort to unlock all Mentat abilities. Players can get to Archenee by paying for a lift or flying their own Ornithopter, so the discipline…n fairly easy to obtain.
Swordmaster: A Patient Character Path
It’s difficult to unlock the Swordmaster class early. You’ll need to find and talk to Arno, the basic trainer in the northern Jabal Eit region. Plus, you’ll have to find other trainers first. Arno is at Pinnacle Station. It’s tough fighting enemies in his quest so avoid it for now, unless you’re packed with high-level abilities and their weapons. It is possible to pay to transport to Pinnacle Station, though the enemies there match the zone difficulty. Harko Village back alleys has the over leveled blind swordmaster Saon Varlin, for advanced training. Completing his quests gives players access to the advanced Swordmaster tiers which will help them to earn combat skills that will do much damage.

Bene Gesserit: Stopping the North
You can find Sister Mesa, a Bene Gesserit novice trainer, in Helas Gate located in northern Shield Wall. Players are sent to some of the deadliest places in the Hagga Basin during her quests to gather artifacts and trophies, requiring strong builds to survive the brutal enemies. It is therefore difficult to unlock the Bene Gesserit class early on. Jakosta Cleo wearing a smart suit is currently training in Harko Village. Her missions will unlock the upper levels of the Bene Gesserit skill tree so make sure to check in regularly.
Final Tips for Success
Getting around the trainer system in Dune Awakening can be quite tricky. The game does not say much in the in-game journal, and there are no quest markers either. Their colour shows which players are in battle and what level they are. Plan your progression according to your level and resources. It is easier to start with the Trooper or Mentat classes; Planetologist, Swordmaster and Bene Gesserit take time to explore effectively. With this tutorial, gamers can systematically find each trainer and harness the potential of their chosen class while stylishly dominating the deserts of Arrakis.
