Exciting developments are underway in the world of motherboards! MSI has quietly introduced a groundbreaking new model that has enthusiasts buzzing. The PRO B840M-P EVO WiFi6E PZ is set to revolutionize the way we think about motherboard design, offering a sleek setup with its connectors strategically placed at the back. This marks a significant step forward in creating cleaner, more streamlined PC builds.
Innovative Design with Backside Connectors
In a surprising move, MSI has launched the PRO B840M-P EVO WiFi6E PZ under their esteemed Project Zero and EVO lineup. This innovative motherboard stands out by relocating its connectors from the front to the back, a feature that promises a tidier build and easier cable management. The PRO B840M-P EVO WiFi6E PZ is the first B840 chipset motherboard to offer this rear connector design.

The motherboard comes with several enhancements over its predecessor, the Pro B840M-P WiFi6E. While maintaining a similar layout and specifications, it offers more PCIe slots, additional storage ports, and extra onboard heatsinks. Users will also benefit from support for up to 8000 MT/s memory and a maximum capacity of 256 GB. Connectivity options remain robust, featuring the same number of I/O ports, 2.5G LAN, and WiFi 6E.
Advanced Features and Future-Proofing
One of the most exciting aspects of this release is the repositioning of key connectors to the back, including the 8-pin EPS, 24-pin ATX, USB 3.0 front header, USB Type-C front header, SATA ports, and fan and RGB/ARGB headers. This change is anticipated to enhance both aesthetics and functionality for PC builders.

Additionally, the motherboard is equipped with a 64 MB BIOS chip, positioning it as a pioneer in the B840 series for supporting upcoming Zen 6 CPUs. Although reports suggest that 32 MB BIOS chips will also accommodate Zen 6, this model ensures readiness for future technological advancements. AMD has confirmed that Zen 6 CPUs will debut in early 2027.
Other notable features include a 7+2+1 power phase VRM and user-friendly installation with EZ GPU and M.2 methods. While MSI has yet to announce pricing and availability, the anticipation around this model continues to grow among tech enthusiasts.
