Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders, a 2025 fan-favorite on Xbox Game Pass, has just received a fresh update, delivering even more content at no additional cost. This serene-yet-challenging skiing adventure, known for blending physics-based descents with scenic natural backdrops, now features a brand-new mountain for players to explore.
A Chinese-Inspired Expansion
The latest update brings Baifushan Mountain, drawing visual inspiration from iconic Chinese landscapes. This expansion adds four new trails, each with two slopes, plus a series of fresh challenges. Multiplayer and leaderboard features have also been integrated, giving players new reasons to return even if they’ve already completed the base game released earlier this year.
From Downhill to Snow Riders
Snow Riders continues the spirit of Megagon Industries’ earlier title, Lonely Mountains: Downhill, which swapped skis for mountain bikes. With over 900,000 players already, it’s clear that Game Pass has been instrumental in helping this indie gem reach a broad audience.
Supporter Pack and Future Plans
To support ongoing development, the studio has released a paid supporter pack priced at $8. This bundle includes stylish cosmetics like a retro racing suit, new backpack, and themed goggles. It serves both as a thank-you gesture and a way to fuel future content drops—something the studio is well-known for.
While currently only available on Xbox and PC, there’s a good chance Snow Riders will expand to other platforms in the future. Until then, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch users can still enjoy Lonely Mountains: Downhill as a warm-up to the warmer seasons.
