Unveiling Lore and Legends
The cinematic, aptly named “Still Legendary,” sets the stage for the new set, delving into the rich lore of Runeterra, the central world of League of Legends. The video highlights a medley featuring Alex ‘Mako’ Seaver, renowned for his work on the Arcane soundtrack and previous League of Legends anthems. Julien Camaraza, Lead Set Designer, describes the new set as a celebration of Runeterra’s key moments, promising excitement for every player. A full global reveal is slated for the K.O Coliseum’s Tactician’s Crown event from November 14th to 16th, 2025, with the official release on December 3rd, 2025, as part of Patch 16.1.
The TFT Paris Open
The much-anticipated TFT Paris Open 2025 will feature the new set, running from December 12th to 14th, 2025. This high-stakes tournament will see over 768 global competitors vying for a share of the $300,000 (~£228,600) prize pool, with the victor claiming the prestigious Tacticians Belt. Peter Whalen, Game Director for Teamfight Tactics, emphasizes that “Lore & Legends” is their most ambitious set yet, integrating over 15 years of Runeterra’s lore with innovative mechanics and unforgettable champions.
