The Nintendo Switch 2 has already brought with it, the release of No Man’s Sky Switch 2 Edition. According to developer Hello Games, accompanying the launch of the new console, those who already own the popular sci-fi survival game will be able to get this version for free.
New edition with better graphics and performance. Full multiplayer support, increased resolutions and frame rates, and higher-resolution textures await players. The new game is expected to perform much better on Switch 2 to deliver a more seamless and immersive experience to all.
Cross-Save and Cross-Play Features
If you’ve already begun your space voyage on the first Switch, you can continue your journey on Switch 2 with cross save and cross play. This means players can continue wherever they’ve left off – on their previous console or any other supported gaming platform.
The launch of No Man’s Sky for Switch 2 also coincides with the beginning of the Beacons update – a huge new part of the title. There’s a big overhaul of settlements as town management has been introduced along with new decorations. Players will be able to become the mayors of various towns, build spaces like bars or fishing lakes, as well as defend them from attacks.

Availability and Launch Details
The Beacons update, which is available today on all platforms for free, has received a Switch 2 edition which will come out on 5 June. Nintendo Switch 2 Editions will also be available for several other games like No Man’s Sky, Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, which will be bundled with a Nintendo Switch Online subscription.
Nintendo is updating existing Switch 1 games for the Switch 2. The Pokemon Scarlet and Violet gets visual improvements and Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury gets a new GameShare session feature. Other games are getting their fixes to prepare them for the upcoming device.
