Noctua has unveiled its newest chromax.black versions of the flagship air cooler and fan models. These sleek, black designs cater to enthusiasts who favor a stealthy look for their PC builds, though they do come with a higher price tag.
Noctua NH-D15 G2 and NF-A14x25 G2 Release
Today marks the official launch of the NH-D15 G2 chromax.black variant, adding a new aesthetic option to this high-performance cooler. This model builds upon the renowned NH-D15 released last year, incorporating an upgraded aluminium dual-tower heatsink alongside the powerful NF-A14x25 G2 fans. 
The NF-A14x25 fan series also received the chromax.black treatment, perfectly complementing the NH-D15 G2’s aesthetic. These fans are engineered for silent operation without sacrificing cooling efficiency and are available with both square and round frames, making them versatile for use as either cooler or chassis fans.
The Noctua CEO, Roland Mossin, highlighted the positive reception of these new G2 series products, expressing confidence that the chromax.black versions will appeal to those seeking a more understated design.
Performance and Pricing Details
The NF-A14x25 G2 fans are equipped with advanced Sterrox liquid-crystal polymer impellers and maintain a tip clearance of 0.7 mm. This design ensures exceptional noise-to-performance efficiency, offering users the flexibility to install them on various cooling systems. The NH-D15 G2, known for its top-tier performance, competes robustly against premium AIO coolers when combined with three NF-A14x25 fans.
The NH-D15 G2 chromax.black model features a completely black-coated heatsink with eight heat pipes, reminiscent of the original NH-D15 chromax.black, albeit with more advanced fans. This upgraded version comes at a price of US$189.90, marking a significant price increase over previous versions. The NF-A14x25 G2 chromax.black fans are priced at US$44.90 or EUR 39.90, available in both square and round shapes. Enthusiasts can find these products on retailers like Amazon.
