NVIDIA and Nokia Team Up to Revolutionize 6G Connectivity with AI Power

NVIDIA has taken a bold step forward by joining hands with Nokia to advance 6G connectivity, leveraging their cutting-edge AI-RAN products. This venture will harness the power of both Grace CPUs and Blackwell GPUs to revolutionize telecommunications.

Fusing AI with Telecommunications

NVIDIA’s recent GTC 2025 keynote unveiled a groundbreaking partnership with Nokia, setting the stage for a new era of AI-driven wireless connectivity. This alliance aims to achieve 6G connectivity through a suite of AI-RAN products, seamlessly integrated with Nokia’s advanced telecom infrastructure. To further solidify this partnership, NVIDIA is making a significant investment of $1 billion in Nokia, valued at $6.01 per share.

The partnership marks the beginning of the AI-native wireless era, providing the foundation to support AI-powered consumer experiences and enterprise services at the edge. Together, NVIDIA and Nokia are also laying the strategic infrastructure and opening up a new high-growth frontier for telecom providers by delivering distributed edge AI inferencing at scale.

The innovative ARC (Aerial RAN Computer) platform, developed by NVIDIA, is poised to transform 6G computing by embedding RAN software within the CUDA tech stack for enhanced performance. Featuring Grace CPUs and Blackwell GPUs, ARC will introduce unprecedented performance capabilities to telecom infrastructure, seamlessly integrating with Nokia’s existing RAN buildout for an effortless transition to 6G.

Accelerating the Future of Wireless Networks

Nokia is set to expedite the rollout of its 5G and 6G RAN software on the NVIDIA CUDA® platform, embedding the ARC-Pro at the core of the AI-RAN solution. This collaboration will empower Nokia’s mobile network customers to transition effortlessly from current RAN systems to advanced AI-RAN networks.

Nokia will accelerate the availability of its 5G and 6G RAN software on the NVIDIA CUDA® platform and expand its RAN portfolio by embedding NVIDIA ARC-Pro at the heart of the new AI-RAN solution. This partnership will enable Nokia’s mobile network customers to transition seamlessly from today’s RAN networks to future AI-RAN networks.

As the world eagerly awaits this technological leap, NVIDIA has announced that network carrier T-Mobile will commence “field tests” of these AI-RAN technologies in 2026, setting the stage for 6G innovations to take root in the United States.
