NVIDIA’s CEO, Jensen Huang, recently stirred excitement by discussing the anticipated revenue from their latest AI lineups, Blackwell and Rubin. However, NVIDIA’s finance team later clarified these projections with more accurate details.
NVIDIA’s AI Future: Blackwell and Rubin Projections
The GTC 2025 event was a showcase of groundbreaking announcements from NVIDIA, highlighted by Huang’s bold revenue predictions for the Blackwell and Rubin series. Initially, it was suggested that these AI products would generate $500 billion over the next five quarters, vastly surpassing the previous Hopper generation. This ambitious projection was later adjusted by NVIDIA’s financial experts.
Revenue Breakdown and Future Prospects
NVIDIA clarified that the $500 billion figure encompasses “total cumulative shipments” of Blackwell and Rubin products over 2025–2026, including networking solutions such as InfiniBand and NVLink. Notably, 30% of the anticipated demand for these products has already been met, contributing $100 billion in revenue this month alone. Over the next five quarters, NVIDIA expects to earn $307 billion, a figure that corrects Jensen Huang’s earlier statement.

The popularity of the Blackwell lineup is evident, with clients favoring its performance and efficiency. The upcoming Rubin series is poised to enhance NVIDIA’s computing power, with the recently unveiled Vera Rubin Superchip showcasing ARM-based Vera CPUs and Rubin chiplets. Both Blackwell and Rubin are expected to capitalize on the AI demand surge initiated by the Hopper generation, as per insights shared by Jensen Huang and the NVIDIA team.
