Excitement is brewing in the gaming world as Palworld releases a major new patch, featuring an exciting collaboration with Ultrakill. The update, known as Home Sweet Home, is part of developer Pocketpair’s ongoing preparations for the full launch of Palworld 1.0, eagerly awaited in 2026.
John “Bucky” Buckley, communications director and publishing manager, hinted that this update “lays a lot of groundwork as we gear up for our massive 1.0 release in 2026, but there are plenty of surprises to explore in this update!”
A New Era of Collaboration and Building
The Ultrakill collaboration introduces “iconic weapons and armor” along with V1’s infamous coin toss. Meanwhile, the Home Sweet Home update focuses on enhancing base-building, allowing players to create a cozy and intuitive living space.
Pocketpair has been “blown away by the incredible builds” from players and is responding with new building components, including color-changing options and “much-requested triangular pieces.” The building menu now features a new list format.
The update also enhances melee combat, offering players more enjoyable and viable combat experiences. Players summoning a raid boss now have the choice to fight at their base or in a specialized Raid Area.
Exciting Updates and Features
“These Raid Areas allow you to fight with all your might, without risking any damage to your base,” the team explained. A new raid boss is also set to challenge players in this update.
“2025 has been an incredible year for Palworld, and we’re thrilled to cap it off with version 0.7, Home Sweet Home!” Pocketpair stated. The update’s primary aim is to refine existing features as preparations for Palworld 1.0 continue.
PvP, a long-discussed feature within the Palworld community, is now becoming a reality. While it remains experimental, players can set their own PvP rules, showcasing their skills in competitive play.
“We’re providing the necessary tools for players to customize their PvP experiences,” Pocketpair said. “Please note that PvP is still in experimental stages, which may lead to some balancing challenges.”
