Peyz Joins T1 as New ADC for 2026

Korean esports giant and reigning world champion T1 has added a fresh face to their roster, bringing in Kim ‘Peyz’ Su-hwan as their new ADC player. The team is setting its sights on a fourth consecutive world championship with this strategic move.

Peyz Replaces Gumayusi

The young talent, who is soon turning 20, steps in to replace Lee ‘Gumayusi’ Min-hyeong in the bot lane. Gumayusi’s departure from the team was announced earlier this month, paving the way for Peyz’s arrival. With Peyz’s signing, T1 completes its lineup for the 2026 LCK season. The contract with Peyz is set until 2028, aligning closely with the tenure of iconic player Faker, whose contract extends until 2029. This decision indicates T1’s intent to cultivate Peyz into their next big star.

Peyz’s Journey to T1

Peyz has been a promising talent since his early days with the Gen.G academy, where he started at just 14 years old. His journey included winning three LCK titles, a top-four finish at Worlds 2024, and an MSI championship. In 2025, he transitioned to JD Gaming in the LPL. Despite team struggles, Peyz proved his consistency, becoming a key player on his roster. Now with T1, the challenge will be to seamlessly integrate his aggressive playstyle with the team, especially alongside support Ryu ‘Keria’ Min-seok.

The Upcoming Challenges for T1

The new T1 roster, featuring Peyz, is set to make its debut at the Red Bull League of Its Own event in Germany on November 29th. Following this, they will participate in the KeSPA Cup 2025 starting on December 6th. The team’s future performance will heavily depend on the chemistry they develop with their latest addition, Peyz, who is eager to make a mark in the upcoming season.
