Phison has unveiled its latest innovation at CES, the Gen5 SSD controller known as the E37T. This new controller is crafted to deliver high performance while maintaining cost-effectiveness through its DRAM-less design. With impressive speed capabilities, the E37T is poised to make waves in the storage industry.
Introducing the E37T: Compact and Cost-Effective
Phison is no stranger to the Gen5 SSD market, having previously launched the high-speed E28 and the affordable DRAM-less E31T. The new E37T continues this legacy with enhancements to its core architecture, supporting 3D NAND at speeds of up to 4800 MT/s. These improvements translate to a 38% performance boost on value-oriented platforms utilizing a 4-channel design.

The E37T Gen5 SSD controller boasts remarkable speeds of up to 14.7 GB/s in Sequential Reads and 13.0 GB/s in Sequential Writes, making it a powerful choice for various devices. Its ultra-low power consumption under 2.3W makes it particularly suitable for compact and portable devices like laptops and Mini PCs.
Expanding Phison’s SSD Portfolio
In addition to the E37T, Phison revealed that its E28 Gen5 SSD controller will now be available in larger 8 TB capacities for flagship SSDs. These high-capacity drives offer speeds of up to 14.9 GB/s for Reads and 14.0 GB/s for Writes, with outstanding IOPS performance.

Anticipation is building for the debut of SSDs featuring the E37T controller, expected to be showcased by Computex 2026, broadening Phison’s array of storage solutions.
