Sony has unveiled the roster of games that PlayStation Plus subscribers will have access to during May 2025.
Three New Titles Coming to PlayStation Plus
According to an announcement on the PlayStation Blog, PlayStation Plus members will be able to add Ark: Survival Ascended, Balatro, and Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun to their libraries at no additional cost from May 6 through June 2.
Despite earlier speculation, the horror title Until Dawn does not appear among the offerings for the month.
Explore Prehistoric Worlds in Ark: Survival Ascended
Ark: Survival Ascended delivers an immersive survival experience on PS5 where players can form tribes, tame and breed hundreds of dinosaur species, and fight to dominate the prehistoric food chain. The game has been completely rebuilt using Unreal Engine 5, featuring enhanced graphics, improved physics systems, and quality-of-life improvements throughout.
Players gain access to all of Ark’s expansive worlds, including Scorched Earth, Aberration, Extinction, Ark Genesis Part 1, Ark Genesis Part 2, and additional content. The game supports public online multiplayer for up to 70 participants, private sessions for up to 8 players, and local split-screen for 2 players.
Test Your Luck with Balatro
Available for both PS5 and PS4, Balatro combines poker mechanics with roguelike deck-building strategy. The game challenges players to create powerful synergies by playing unconventional poker hands, discovering unique joker cards, and triggering elaborate combos.
Success requires earning enough chips to overcome increasingly difficult blinds while discovering hidden bonus hands and decks throughout gameplay. Players will need to develop effective strategies to reach and defeat the boss blind, overcome the final ante, and achieve victory.
Battle Chaos in Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun
Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun brings fast-paced first-person shooter action to PS5 and PS4, blending the rich Warhammer 40,000 universe with classic FPS gameplay and retro 90’s visual aesthetics.
Players take on the role of a battle-hardened Space Marine on a dangerous mission across the galaxy, confronting Chaos Space Marines and daemons of Chaos. The game features sprite-based visuals reminiscent of classic shooters while allowing players to utilize the devastating Space Marine arsenal. Gameplay involves running, jumping, and charging through extensive levels while eliminating heretics with an array of powerful weapons.
