KRAFTON, the studio behind PUBG, has officially confirmed the comeback of the PUBG Nations Cup in 2025. This year, the event will see significant growth with a total of 24 national teams slated to compete.
Scheduled to take place in late July, the fifth edition of this prestigious tournament will be hosted at the Olympic Handball Gymnasium in Seoul, South Korea.
Recap of Last Year’s Success
In 2024, the PUBG Nations Cup welcomed 16 national teams, with the competition unfolding at the KyungHee Grand Peace Hall in Seoul. The South Korean team triumphed over the United States, earning the majority share of the $548,932 prize pool. This pool included a fixed prize of $300,000, with the remainder funded through 30% of sales from the PNC 2024 in-game skins.
Viewership numbers also reflected the event’s popularity. Data from Esports Charts indicated a peak of 510,997 viewers, marking it as the third most-watched PUBG esports tournament at the time.
New and Returning Nations in 2025
The defending champions from South Korea are set to compete once again, joined by 15 teams returning from the previous year. Notably, Denmark and India will re-enter the tournament following a break, while France, Poland, Spain, Sweden, Philippines, and Malaysia will participate for the first time.
