Aleksei ‘Qikert’ Golubev, renowned for his prowess in Counter-Strike 2, has officially announced his exit from MIBR after a three-month tenure. Initially joining from PARIVISION, Qikert aimed to strengthen the Brazilian esports team’s international lineup for the season’s climax. His time with MIBR, however, was challenging, as the team couldn’t secure wins in the Swiss stage of the StarLadder Budapest Major.
Qikert has parted ways with MIBR after a short stint, seeking to lead a new team as captain in the upcoming 2026 season.
Reflecting on a Unique Season
In a recent social media update, Qikert candidly addressed the difficulties faced throughout the season, requesting fans to withhold judgment. He revealed his intention to return as a team leader, drawing from his experience with Into the Breach and PARIVISION. Despite the setbacks, Qikert remains optimistic, expressing readiness to guide a team back to Tier 1 tournaments.
“There were many circumstances that prevented any of the MIBR players from showing their true level,” wrote Qikert. “Judge me and my future team by results. Playbook, structure, protocols, reactions, vision and everything needed to build a strong team is ready. I’m excited to start looking for a new team as a captain. My goal remains unchanged. To return to Tier 1 tournaments and compete at the highest level.”
Parivision in 2026
As Qikert eyes new opportunities, his former team, Parivision, is also making strategic moves. After a commendable performance at the Budapest Major, the organization restructured by replacing Andrey ‘AW’ Anisimov with Ivan ‘zweih’ Gogin, previously with Team Spirit. Parivision is gearing up for the BLAST Bounty Season 1 2026 qualifiers, setting sights on the LAN finals and critical Valve Regional Standings points.
