Riot Games Reveals VALORANT EMEA Clash Tournament for VCT and Challengers Teams

Riot Games has unveiled an exciting new tournament set to captivate VALORANT fans in 2026. The VALORANT EMEA Clash promises to bring thrilling competition by combining the prowess of VCT and Challengers teams in a never-before-seen showdown. This tournament, which will take place from February 16th to 26th, invites the best Challengers teams to face off against the VCT EMEA rosters that missed out on qualifying for Masters Santiago.

Riot Games has announced VALORANT EMEA Clash, a 2026 tournament bringing together both VCT and Challengers teams.

### A New Era for VALORANT Esports

The introduction of the VALORANT EMEA Clash marks a significant step for Riot Games as they aim to create a more inclusive esports ecosystem. The tournament will integrate directly within the existing VALORANT framework, opening doors for teams that are not part of the VALORANT Champions Tour. In a recent development, Riot Games announced that Challengers teams will have the opportunity to directly qualify for the VALORANT Champions 2026 for the first time. Echoing the spirit of the Project Blender off-season tournament, EMEA Clash will bring tier-two teams into the spotlight against seasoned VCT competitors.

### How Will the EMEA Clash Fit Into the 2026 Season?

Teams will earn their spots in the VALORANT EMEA Clash through their performances in the VCT EMEA Kickoff and comparable Challengers events. The EMEA’s Challengers Leagues will run from January 5th to February 12th, with the VCT EMEA Kickoff scheduled from January 20th to February 12th. As only three EMEA teams can advance to Masters Santiago, nine VCT teams are likely to participate in the tournament. However, details regarding the format and prize pool have yet to be disclosed.

The EMEA Clash will serve as a bridge between the 2026 season kickoff and the year’s first international competition. Masters Santiago will feature 12 teams from VCT’s four regions, competing from February 28th to March 15th.
