Exciting news for tech enthusiasts: Sapphire has unveiled its latest high-performance offerings, the Nitro+ X870EA motherboards and RX 9070 XT Nitro+ graphics card, both equipped with innovative PhantomLink connectors. These new components are set to revolutionize the gaming hardware landscape with efficient power solutions and cutting-edge features.
Sapphire’s Innovative BTF Connector Design
At the highly anticipated Computex 2025, Sapphire showcased its groundbreaking PhantomLink technology, featuring AM5 motherboards and RDNA 4 GPUs. Central to this lineup are the X870EA Nitro+ motherboards and the Radeon RX 9070 XT Nitro+ graphics cards. These premium products introduce the PhantomLink “BTF” connectors, a game-changing feature that utilizes the 12V-2×6 standard. This ensures a secure power connection to graphics cards without the need for a traditional 16-pin connector cable, eliminating common connection issues that can cause permanent damage over time.
Powerful Features and Cutting-Edge Technology
The Sapphire X870E Nitro+ PhantomLink motherboards stand out with their sleek design available in both “Polar Edition” white and classic black variants. Equipped with the AM5 socket and X870E chipset, these motherboards boast an impressive 16+2+1 (90A) power delivery system, supporting CPUs with up to 250W TDP via dual 8-pin connectors. Memory capabilities are robust, offering speeds of 8400 MT/s (OC+) and up to 256 GB capacity, with four M.2 slots utilizing Gen5 and Gen4 protocols.
Featuring a strategic heatsink layout, the motherboards ensure optimal cooling for all M.2 slots, with the topmost offering an EZ release function. The inclusion of ARGB LEDs, Power On/Off buttons, and a DEBUG LED adds to the user-friendly design. Connectivity options are comprehensive with 40 Gbps USB Type-C, 20 Gbps USB Type-C with power delivery, Wi-Fi 7, and 5 Gbps LAN ports. The revolutionary PhantomLink connector can supply more than 800W of power to compatible graphics cards, setting a new standard for power delivery in gaming systems.
The Radeon RX 9070 XT Nitro+ PhantomLink Graphics Card
Alongside the motherboards, the Sapphire Radeon RX 9070 XT Nitro+ PhantomLink graphics card makes its debut, sporting a custom PCB for peak performance. It reaches an impressive 3060 MHz boost frequency, cooled efficiently by a triple-slot, triple-fan setup. This GPU also employs PTM7950 TIM to maintain optimal temperatures while delivering exceptional performance aesthetics.

Currently, both the motherboards and graphics card are available in China, with enthusiasts eagerly awaiting announcements on global releases.
