Scout Reunites With Nongshim RedForce, Making LCK Comeback After Nine Years

Returning to the LCK after nearly a decade, Lee ‘Scout’ Ye-chan’s journey has been a remarkable one. The Korean esports organization, Nongshim RedForce, has officially welcomed Scout as their mid laner for the 2026 season. Known for his impressive tenure in China’s LPL with teams like EDward Gaming, LNG Esports, and JD Gaming, Scout’s return marks a significant moment for fans and the league alike.

Nongshim RedForce Completes Its 2026 Roster

Scout has signed a one-year contract with Nongshim RedForce, sharing the starting position with Syun ‘Calix’ Hyun-bin. This move completes the team’s lineup for 2026, alongside players like top laner Hwang ‘Kingen’ Seong-hoo, support Son ‘Lehends’ Si-woo, ADC Kim ‘Taeyoon’ Tae-yoon, and jungler Bae ‘Sponge’ Young-jun. After nine years in the LPL, Scout’s return to the LCK is set to elevate Nongshim RedForce’s chances in the upcoming season.

Scout’s Legacy and Challenges

Throughout his career, Scout has been recognized as one of the premier mid lane talents globally. Initially part of SKT Telecom T1 as a substitute for the legendary Lee ‘Faker’ Sang-hyeok, Scout made a name for himself in the LPL with EDward Gaming, securing multiple championships. His career pinnacle came in 2021 when he led his team to victory at the world championship by defeating DAMWON Gaming. However, the recent years have seen a decline in his performance, with Scout and JD Gaming failing to qualify for Worlds despite a strong lineup on paper.

A New Chapter Begins

Scout is eager to prove himself with Nongshim RedForce, a team viewed as a strong contender for the playoffs. The team is anticipated to debut at the 2025 KeSPA Cup on December 6th, marking the start of a new chapter for both Scout and Nongshim RedForce as they aim for success in the LCK.
