The world of overclocking witnessed an exhilarating showdown recently as two renowned overclockers raced to set new records with DDR5 memory speeds. The competition reached new heights when Saltycroissant temporarily claimed the record, only for Sergmann to surpass it later the same day.
Saltycroissant Sets a New Benchmark with DDR5
In a remarkable feat, Saltycroissant shattered last week’s DDR5 record by achieving a speed of 13,407 MT/s. This was accomplished using a Corsair Vengeance 24 GB module on the GIGABYTE Z890 AORUS Tachyon ICE motherboard. Known for its overclocking capabilities, the Tachyon ICE, combined with a nitrogen cooling setup, allowed Saltycroissant to improve the previous record by 85 MT/s. Gratitude was expressed towards Corsair, Gigabyte, and other contributors for their support in this achievement.

Sergmann Reclaims the Title
Later that day, Sergmann took the crown by pushing the DDR5 speed to a staggering 13,530 MT/s, once again using Corsair Vengeance memory and the Z890 Tachyon ICE board. The overclocking community was astounded as Sergmann refined the UCLK: MCLK ratio to achieve this milestone.
The race to the 14,000 MT/s mark is heating up, with the overclocking community eagerly anticipating who will achieve this next milestone.
