In a groundbreaking achievement, SK hynix has successfully certified its 256 GB DDR5 RDIMM memory on Intel’s Xeon 6 server CPUs. This marks a significant milestone in the industry, showcasing SK hynix’s technological leadership in high-capacity memory solutions. Despite ongoing memory shortages in the consumer market, the AI sector continues to be a primary focus for memory manufacturers, with SK hynix leading the charge.

Innovations in DDR5 Memory Technology

SK hynix’s latest memory module is based on 32Gb fifth-generation 10nm-class technology and offers improved performance and efficiency. Compared to previous 256 Gb products, the new solution delivers 16% higher inference speeds and 18% power savings. This advancement comes just a year after the certification of their 128 GB memory solution.

Having completed the Intel Data Center Certified process, SK hynix’s 256GB DDR5 RDIMM is the first server module verified to ensure reliable performance and compatibility with Intel Xeon processors. The rigorous testing by Intel’s Advanced Data Center Development Laboratory underscores the module’s quality and reliability.

Meeting the Demands of AI-Driven Infrastructure

The emergence of AI-driven infrastructure has heightened the need for advanced memory solutions capable of handling complex data processing tasks. High-capacity, high-performance memory is now crucial for managing large datasets swiftly and efficiently, and SK hynix’s latest product rises to the challenge.
