The gaming community has something exciting to look forward to as Tactical Adventures gears up to release Solasta II, the highly anticipated sequel to their hit turn-based tactical role-playing game. During the Galaxies Gaming Showcase, the French developer revealed that the early access version of Solasta II is set to launch on PC in early 2026 via Steam. Although the studio initially planned for a 2025 release, players will need to wait a bit longer for further details on pricing and the early access period.
Enhanced Visuals with Unreal Engine 5
Solasta II promises stunning visuals thanks to its switch from Unity to Unreal Engine 5. While this transition enhances the graphical experience, it may limit the game’s moddability compared to its predecessor. The first game featured a level editor that enabled a wide range of user-generated content, a feature that might be constrained in the sequel.
A New Adventure in the Continent of Neokos
Players will journey to the distant lands of Neokos, driven by a storyline rich in family legacy and mystery. The narrative is centered around the Shadwyn, an ancient force corrupting the continent, with the iconic voice of Amelia Tyler bringing this tale to life. Staying true to its roots, Solasta II is based on the Dungeons & Dragons SRD 5.1 ruleset, promising an authentic tabletop RPG experience.
Tactical Adventures is set to unveil the new in-game map and engage with fans during a special Community Stream on Tuesday, October 28. The event will be broadcast on YouTube and Twitch at 10 AM Pacific Time (1 PM Eastern Time, 6 PM CET), providing insights into the game and a chance for players to have their questions answered.
Solasta II will launch in early access on PC via Steam in early 2026, offering players an immersive experience powered by Unreal Engine 5.
