SSSTC has made a significant stride in the enterprise storage market with the announcement of its new ER4 Series SATA SSDs. Designed to meet the surging demand for robust storage solutions in data centers and AI servers, these drives promise outstanding performance and reliability.
Introducing the ER4 Enterprise SATA SSDs
SSSTC’s latest ER4 Series brings capacities reaching up to 16TB, making it one of the few SATA SSD offerings to achieve such high density. The drives exhibit remarkable random read/write capabilities, boasting 98K / 30K IOPS across all models and 98K / 55K IOPS for the 8TB variant. This blend of extensive capacity and top-tier performance is ideal for AI inference, real-time analytics, and workloads requiring high concurrency.
The ER4 Series utilizes a standard 2.5-inch SATA 6Gb/s interface, supporting hot-swapping, which simplifies the transition from traditional HDDs. This feature allows enterprises to enhance their storage capabilities without overhauling existing infrastructure, optimizing both performance and cost. The series includes 16TB (15.36TB) and 8TB (7.68TB) versions, each delivering sequential read/write speeds of up to 550MB/s and 530MB/s, respectively. These SSDs significantly boost processing power, crucial for operations like OLTP, AI tasks, cloud computing, and data analytics that demand low latency.

Unmatched Data Protection and Reliability
Beyond performance, the ER4 Series is equipped with various enterprise-grade data safeguards. These include end-to-end data protection, TruePLP power-loss protection, secure erase, and AES 256-bit encryption, with optional TCG Enterprise support, ensuring robust data security both in transit and at rest.
The SSDs are engineered for durability, featuring an MTBF of 3 million hours, a UBER of 10⁻¹⁷, and a five-year warranty. This makes them perfect for enterprise environments that necessitate continuous, stable operation.
SSSTC emphasizes the ER4 Series’ suitability for systems demanding high I/O performance, low latency, and stringent data integrity, such as OLTP systems. With high-speed controllers and optimized firmware, they maintain stable performance even under heavy transactional loads. The drives are ideal for a range of applications, including virtualization, cloud infrastructures, big data platforms, SMB NAS systems, backup solutions, and video surveillance, enabling organizations to enhance performance and storage efficiency without hardware modifications.
