A Major with Spectators from the Start
Unlike previous Majors where early matches were closed to the public, StarLadder is shaking things up. The opening stages will take place at MTK Sportpark, a venue that can hold 2,000 live spectators. Fans will have the rare opportunity to watch the competition unfold from the very beginning, adding energy to every match.
The playoffs, however, will shift to the massive MVM Dome, a 20,000-seat arena where the champion will ultimately be crowned.

StarLadder’s History with CS Majors
This isn’t StarLadder’s first time organizing a Counter-Strike Major. Back in 2019, the tournament organizer successfully ran the 15th CS:GO Major, which saw Astralis claim victory. With years of experience and fresh backing from NODWIN Gaming—which acquired StarLadder earlier this year—the Budapest Major is shaping up to be a standout event.
What to Expect at the Budapest Major
Following the structure of recent CS2 Majors, 32 elite teams will battle for supremacy and a piece of the $1.25 million prize pool. The winning squad will secure the largest share, along with Major champion status.
