Taipei Welcomes the Brand-New LCP Arena for League of Legends Action

Riot Games has officially unveiled the state-of-the-art League of Legends Championship Pacific (LCP) Arena, marking a significant milestone for the region’s esports scene. Located in the Datong District of Taipei, Taiwan, this impressive venue will now serve as the permanent home for all LCP matches.

Instant Fan Excitement for New Esports Destination

According to Riot Games, the LCP Arena is set to welcome both live audiences and livestream broadcasts, commencing with the Mid-Season events. The enthusiasm for the new venue was immediately apparent, with the initial wave of tickets for the opening week selling out in a mere 30 seconds.

APAC Esports Community’s Long-Held Dream Realized

Sean Oh, General Manager of APAC Publishing and Esports, highlighted that establishing a dedicated esports arena for the Asia-Pacific region had always been a major goal. He emphasized that having a permanent location will significantly enhance the fan experience and expressed his excitement over the rapid sell-out of the opening weekend tickets, which reflects the overwhelming support from the community.

Meanwhile, Carry International, the collaborator with Riot Games in building the Arena, described the project’s completion as a “dream come true.” Chairman Jerry Yen expressed his belief that the new facility will reignite fans’ passion for competitive League of Legends within the Pacific region.

As part of the grand opening celebrations, representatives from Riot Games, team members, and partners participated in signing a special commemorative banner, which now proudly hangs at the venue. Additionally, CTBC Flying Oyster was presented with a trophy to celebrate their victory during the LCP Season Kickoff. Piotr Pilich, LCP’s Head of Product, expressed his hope that the new arena will provide teams like CFO with a platform to truly shine on the big stage.

Inside the Cutting-Edge LCP Arena

The LCP Arena has been meticulously designed with the latest technology to deliver an exceptional experience for both the competing players and the enthusiastic spectators. The main stage boasts an impressive 217 LED panels covering over 100 square meters, creating a visually stunning backdrop for the matches. Players will compete using high-performance MSI gaming PCs and comfortable COUGAR gaming chairs.

The venue has a seating capacity for approximately 136 fans, with accessible seating options thoughtfully integrated. However, the LCP Arena offers more than just prime match viewing.

The reception area features a dedicated Riot Games merchandise shop and a selection of food and beverage options. Teams awaiting their matches can utilize dedicated team rooms equipped with TVs for strategic discussions and coaching sessions. Team huddle rooms also include a ‘coach observer PC’ to monitor ongoing games in real-time. Furthermore, the facility boasts backstage areas, a professional press room, a state-of-the-art master control center, and several other specialized spaces designed to support the complete esports ecosystem.

Fans will find the LCP Arena conveniently situated at 4F, No. 136, Minquan West Road, in Taipei’s Datong District. It offers easy access via public transportation, with the Minquan West Road MRT Station just a short 290 meters away and a major bus stop located a mere 30 meters from the entrance.

Fans eager to experience the thrill of live LCP matches at the new arena can purchase their tickets online or at FamilyMart locations throughout Taiwan. It’s important to note that tickets are not available for direct purchase at the venue itself.
