Team Liquid has made a significant move by entering into a new sponsorship agreement with the online sports betting platform Duelbits. This collaboration aims to spotlight the importance of responsible gaming while enhancing fan interaction across games like Counter-Strike 2 and Chess. Although the financial details remain undisclosed, the partnership represents a pivotal step for both parties involved.
Strengthening Brand Visibility
For Team Liquid, this marks its inaugural foray into a global sports betting sponsorship. The team’s Counter-Strike jersey will feature the Duelbits brand during the highly anticipated Counter-Strike 2 StarLadder Major in Budapest. As Team Liquid enters the Swiss Stage 2, they’ll be in the running for a portion of the $1.25 million prize pool.
Founded amidst the hurdles of the 2020 pandemic, Duelbits has carved a niche in the betting industry, notably in crypto gambling. Their history with esports partnerships includes a collaboration with Brazil’s paiN Gaming in 2022.
Expanding Collaborative Horizons
Team Liquid is no stranger to strategic partnerships, with previous alliances including Alienware, Blacklyte, Sui, and VISA, among others. Their latest venture was with the MMORPG, Sword of Justice, demonstrating their ongoing commitment to broadening their partner network.
Team Liquid’s Performance Highlights
In 2025, Team Liquid has been steadily climbing the ranks. Currently 11th in the VRS rankings, they have achieved significant placements, such as top four at FISSURE Playground #2 and third place finishes at the Birch Cup and CS Asia Championships. Although their PGL Masters Bucharest journey ended at the hands of SAW in the quarterfinals, the team continues to make waves.
Victor Goossens, Team Liquid founder and Co-CEO, remarked on the partnership: “Sports betting has always been interesting to Team Liquid because it adds a new layer to how fans engage with competition.” Goossens emphasized the importance of education and responsibility in this domain, valuing Duelbits as a partner who shares these priorities.
