Team Vitality Triumphs at MLBB Women’s Invitational 2025

The 2025 Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) Women’s Invitational just made history as the tournament peaked at an impressive 490,000 concurrent viewers! According to Esports Charts, this event, part of the Esports World Cup 2025, became the second most-watched women’s esports event ever, coming in over last year’s numbers.

Consistent Engagement and Massive Reach

To the tune of $500,000, approximately £371,732, the Invitational held solid numbers over its 34-hour broadcast. The event attracted an average of over 109,000 viewers, resulting in a total of 3.7 million hours watched. The peak viewership reached nearly 496,000 as Gaimin Gladiators and Team Vitality battled it out in the Playoffs Final. The previous matches, semi-final Gaimin Gladiators vs Terror Queens, and Team Vitality vs Team Liquid also saw huge viewership, raking in watches of more than 275,000 and 274,000 viewerships respectively.

Top Teams Captivate Millions

Gaimin Gladiators and Team Vitality were among the more popular squads, reaching 1.3 million hours watched each. The Terror Queens also made an impression with 1 million hours while Team Liquid was slightly above 931,000 hours.

Indonesian channels were the most popular with more than 285K viewers. Burmese had almost 88,000 views and Bahasa Malaysia had almost 60,000 views. Surprisingly, those channels that speak English reached over 48000 views.

Platform Dominance

There was extensive coverage of the tournament on YouTube and Twitch. YouTube pulled off a total of almost 9.8 million views, 182,000 likes while Twitch streams racked up almost 303,000 views across 49-plus channels. In terms of peak viewers, YouTube had a narrow victory with just under 224000 while TikTok Live garnered over 220000. Bigo Live got more than 28,000, while Twitch only 4000.

MLBB Women’s Invitational vs. Other Esports Events

The 2025 MLBB Women’s Invitational ranked behind the 32nd SEA Games Women’s MLBB tournament for the most viewed female esports event with a peak of over 1.3 million views.  The competition outdid the VALORANT’s VCT 2024 Game Changes Championship, which attracted 464,000 viewers at its highest point. 

Summed up, the 2025 Invitational performed better than last year’s event, which saw peaks of 265,000 viewers and averaged over 74,000. The growth shows that the MLBB community has a newfound appreciation for women’s esports. As such, it is growing in popularity.
