The anticipation for the release of Terminator 2D: No Fate, a 2D-action platformer crafted by Bitmap Bureau Ltd. and published by Reef Entertainment, continues to build as the game faces another delay. Despite this setback, fans can take solace in the fact that the game will still be available on both PC and console platforms by the end of 2025.
A Journey Through Delays
Initially slated for a September 5, 2025, release, the game was first delayed to October, then moved to November 26, 2025. Now, the developers have announced another shift in the release timeline, setting the new launch date for December 12, 2025. In a message shared by Reef Entertainment on X (formerly Twitter), the company expressed gratitude for the community’s patience. “We know you’ve waited longer than expected for the release of Terminator 2D: No Fate, and we truly appreciate your patience and support throughout this journey,” they stated.
Challenges with Physical Editions
The repeated delays are attributed to complications with the physical editions of the game. Initially, these issues were tariff and trade-related, but now that those have been resolved, the focus is on assembling the physical components. “The physical components for all editions have now finally arrived, following the ongoing delays that pushed us off our previous schedules. However, we now have to assemble the physical editions,” the publisher explained. The release date is now set for December 12, 2025, for both physical and digital versions.
This delay, while unfortunate, highlights the publisher’s dedication to providing an equitable launch experience for all players, ensuring both physical and digital buyers receive the game simultaneously.
Terminator Fans Look Forward
As the year draws to a close, fans of the Terminator franchise can still look forward to enjoying the game before 2025 ends. In the meantime, they can anticipate Terminator: Survivors, which is also slated for a 2025 release, though no specific date has been provided since its August 2024 announcement.
