The Milk Cup Women’s Esports Tournament Returns in 2025

The Milk Processor Education Program (MilkPEP) has officially confirmed the return of its women-focused Fortnite competition, The Milk Cup, for 2025.

In addition to bringing back the tournament, the organization is expanding its efforts with the introduction of The Milk Cup Academy, a newly launched mentorship and training initiative designed specifically for female Fortnite competitors.

Tournament Expansion and Format

Initially launched in April 2024, The Milk Cup was created to provide women in esports with essential tools, opportunities, and resources to succeed in the industry. Based on information released by MilkPEP, more than 60% of the participants in the debut event had never competed in a tournament before.

This year’s edition sees an increase in scope, including a prize pool that has grown to $300,000 (£232,200), up from last year’s $250,000 (£198,437). A new Duos format will also be introduced, shaped by community feedback.

The 2025 competition will unfold through three Series qualifiers scheduled for April, June, and August. The winners of these qualifiers will advance to the Finals later in the year. To further amplify representation, all matches will be broadcast live on the ‘Gonna Need Milk’ Twitch channel, managed by MilkPEP.

Registrations are now open through the official website, with players of all experience levels encouraged to take part.

Community and Production Partners

As with the previous edition, The Milk Cup is made possible through the support of various collaborators. Returning for another year, Fortnite streamer and co-founder ‘ThePeachCobbler’ will serve as a coach for the event. Event production will once again be handled by the all-women team at RaidiantGG. Meanwhile, Moonrock will provide strategic guidance for partnerships and sponsorships throughout the initiative.

The Milk Cup Academy Launches

One of the most notable additions for 2025 is the debut of The Milk Cup Academy, a comprehensive support programme aimed at elevating female talent in Fortnite esports. This initiative will offer participants access to coaching from industry professionals, structured competitive training, and performance and wellness support.

Participants in the Academy will also be eligible for exclusive prize opportunities during their time in the programme.

Commenting on the new development, ThePeachCobbler noted that The Milk Cup Academy represents a transformative opportunity. She expressed that many talented women simply require the right support and mentorship, and this new programme is designed to provide exactly that.
