Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4: My Lead Games Review

Activision’s iconic skateboarding franchise returns with Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4, a skateboarding game that will give fans familiar yet exciting pleasure. This new entry stays true to the series, offering high-octane skateboarding action, captivating level designs and a soundtrack that players love worldwide. Despite facing a few challenges, this installment has secured its place as one of the standout games of 2025.

Understanding Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4

At first glance, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 is an up-tempo arcade-style game where you’ll select a level and be given objectives like getting a high score or collecting certain objects.  Gamers are given just two minutes to complete these activities that they can repeat non-stop. When they speed level up with positive goals, the challenges keep improving thereby becoming more challenging.

THPS 3+4 features the classic two-minute timer from the first three installments. Yet, this is different from the semi-open world structure of THPS 4 which allowed the player to roam free in bigger levels. Some fans might find this a pretty big deal, but the remake uses a timer that you can set for up to 60 minutes. This captures the casual almost exploratory nature of the original game, albeit rather inconsistently.

Enhanced Visuals and Level Updates

The remake not only brings new game mechanics but also a stunning graphics overhaul. The levels come with more detail, advanced textures and upgraded models. While vintage, now they are also more vibrant! Iron Galaxy worked on THPS 1+2’s PC version before. Their work now ensures that the classic elements jump out without overcrowding the screen, so you get the same experience.

Innovative Additions to the Level Roster

There are three new levels, in a decaying waterpark, a movie studio, and a pinball machine where Tony Hawk is performing. Iron Galaxy has managed to create levels that work well with the original designs whilst adding a twist. This new pinball environment is a throwback to the quirky levels of THPS, but it also looks like it belongs here.

Multiplatform Features and Gameplay Refinement

Anyone can play THPS 3+4, which offers online play, a Skater Park editor, and create-a-skater. The new soundtrack doesn’t feature as much classic music. It does however introduce a bunch of new songs from people who worked on the last games. Though some players might miss the tracks from the old group, the new songs and skaters bring fresh energy to the game.

The remake allows the sharing of user-generated skateparks across platforms. The level of creativity one can have is astonishing, so there’s sure to be a steady supply of fresh content. With multiplayer mode, you can now skate with your friends for an even better experience.

Flawless Skating Dynamics and Minor Hiccups

Skating in THPS 3+4 is always very smooth. Building upon THPS 1+2’s mechanics, it is smooth and responsive, allowing you to carry out tricks and maneuvers with great ease. There are a couple of bugs like the screen issues and sometimes the camera not working. Other than that everything functioned well and it didn’t affect gameplay.

Occasional bugs may need repair but Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4 is a great game. If you’re a series fan, you will enjoy its addition and tribute. Even though certain things might differ from earlier releases, the new levels, improved graphics, and changing music make it’s fun. Every gaming paradise needs a copy of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3+4.
