Shopify Rebellion has made headlines by clinching the Halo World Championship 2025 title, marking a significant milestone in Halo Infinite esports history. In an intense showdown, the North American esports organization bested OpTic Gaming in the Grand Final.
Shopify Rebellion’s Road To Victory
Shopify Rebellion showcased dominant performance right from the start. Their flawless run through Pool A ensured a smooth passage into the upper bracket’s opening round. They narrowly edged out FaZe Clan 3-2, and then comfortably swept Complexity 3-0 in the quarter-finals. Their next challenge was OpTic Gaming in the upper bracket semi-finals—a rematch of the HCS Salt Lake City Grand Final. Repeating their Salt Lake City success, Shopify Rebellion triumphed with a 4-1 scoreline, earning a spot in the last HCS Grand Final for Halo Infinite.
However, OpTic Gaming wasn’t finished and secured a decisive 4-0 victory over Envy in the lower bracket final, setting up yet another face-off between the two formidable teams. Despite an initial map loss, OpTic Gaming managed to equalize the series but couldn’t keep pace with Shopify Rebellion’s strategy. Shopify Rebellion emerged victorious with a 4-1 series win, claiming the World Championship for the first time. For Bradley ‘Frosty’ Bergstrom and Mathew ‘Royal2’ Fiorante, this victory marked their fourth world championship title.
Shopify Rebellion In 2025
The World Championship win capped off an impressive year for Shopify Rebellion’s Halo team. Throughout the 2025 Halo Championship Series (HCS) season, they consistently performed well, never finishing below second place, including a runner-up position at the Arlington Major in April. Following that, they secured victories at both the Salt Lake City and Charlotte Majors before taking the top prize in Halo esports. As the HCS off-season begins, Shopify Rebellion has stepped up as a supporting partner of the esports circuit, as it shifts focus towards community-centric events for 2026.
