Ubisoft has unveiled ambitious changes to the Rainbow Six Siege esports framework, setting the stage for an exciting 2026 competitive season. With a year-long global schedule, the adjustments aim to streamline the path to the prestigious Six Invitational and ensure consistent competition for players and teams at every level.
A Year-Long Rainbow Six Esports Calendar
The revamped season promises more continuous action, commencing with the Challenger Series in February and March, offering Tier 2 teams and relegated Tier 1 squads a path to regain their top-tier status. April’s Season Kickoff introduces a thrilling short-format event, granting Six Invitational Points and qualification spots for the May Major, alongside a lucrative prize pool. This early competition could significantly influence a team’s trajectory for the year.
Two international Majors are set for May and November, re-establishing a traditional rhythm for global battles. Additionally, the Esports World Cup (EWC) will be embedded into the circuit as a significant mid-season event in August. While most teams won’t earn SI Points from EWC, the victor will secure direct entry into the Six Invitational. Regional Stages, taking place from June to July and September to October, will impact SI Points, emphasizing regional performance consistency.
Changes for Teams and Fans
The new format is designed to enhance transparency in the competitive landscape, phasing out isolated tournaments and offering a coherent progression from regional contests to global showcases. Fans and teams can anticipate further details about the 2026 season, including Challenger Series open qualifier sign-ups, at the upcoming Six Invitational. Ubisoft’s commitment to evolving Rainbow Six Siege esports continues, as it solidifies its competitive presence worldwide.
