ULF Esports is currently embroiled in controversy following allegations of delayed salary payments affecting its League of Legends and VALORANT teams. The organization has firmly denied these claims, describing them as unfounded and circulated in a deliberate manner across social media channels.
ULF Esports Denies Allegations
In an official statement shared on X (formerly Twitter), ULF Esports labeled the accusations as ‘baseless’ and reassured that all payments to players, employees, and partners have been made promptly. The organization urged the community not to entertain what it called a ‘manipulative narrative’ built on false claims. ULF Esports emphasized its commitment to transparency, stating that the financial process they are undergoing is unusual but temporary. Additionally, they have pledged to release supporting documentation and undertake legal proceedings against those allegedly defaming the organization.
Recent Achievements and Ongoing Challenges
ULF Esports recently achieved a significant milestone by qualifying for VCT 2026, following their top-two finish at the 2025 VCT Ascension EMEA. The League of Legends team also had a notable season, securing third place in the Turkish Championship League’s Spring and Summer 2025 events, which led to two qualifications for EMEA Masters 2025.
Despite these successes, the organization faces serious challenges as players voice their dissatisfaction publicly.
Players Respond to ULF Esports
Tayfun ‘Typhoon’ Gümüş, a jungler for ULF Esports, was among the first to voice concerns, stating he can provide evidence to support his claims. Typhoon expressed his demand for his rights to be respected and urged the organization to address the situation honestly. Additionally, team members like mid-laner Kim ‘Gori’ Tae-woo and coach Kwon ‘Hoon’ Noh-hoon have reached out to Riot Games for intervention.
Reports suggest that Riot Games is being contacted to provide insights into the unfolding situation.
