In an exciting announcement for esports fans, developer Riot Games and organization FlyQuest are set to host the Christmas Clash tournament this weekend. Contestants will compete for a substantial prize pool, adding to the buzz of this much-anticipated event.
Christmas Clash Rewards Await
Running from December 13th to 14th, 2025, the Christmas Clash offers competitors the chance to capture the majority of a $3,000 (~£2,230) prize pot. Supported by Riot Games’ First Impact sponsorship program, an extra $2,500 (~£1,850) bounty is up for grabs if a duo manages to triumph.
Reports suggest that the tournament is open to anyone with a North American Riot Games account, regardless of their location. To participate, players must join the 2XKO Discord server and complete the registration process on the official start.gg page.
Matches will start in a best-of-three (BO3) format, culminating in best-of-five (BO5) showdowns for the Winner’s Finals, Loser’s Finals, and Grand Finals. The winner will not only take home the prize money but will also have a shot at further glory in the Road to Frosty Faustings series.
Road to Frosty Faustings
The Christmas Clash is the climactic event in the Road to Frosty Faustings series, serving as a crucial qualifier for the Frosty Faustings XVIII next year. Over the past three weeks, players have battled for leaderboard points, with this event offering double points to the top four finishers.
The series champion will earn a fully funded trip to the Frosty Faustings festival in 2026. This prize includes travel expenses, accommodation, event registration, a daily stipend, and a FlyQuest-branded jersey. The winner is required to represent FlyQuest at the event.
Frosty Faustings XVII will feature a 2XKO mixed mode tournament on January 30th, 2026, boasting a $50,000 (~£37,565) prize pool. A special 2XKO duos tournament is also scheduled for January 29th, 2026, promising even more excitement for the gaming community.
