The League of Legends Worlds 2025 Swiss Stage has proved to be very exciting, as some of the games in the tournament have been shown to have quite a few upsets. The LCP’s CTBC Flying Oyster beat the current champions T1 for an excellent victory, improving to a record of 2-0.
CTBC Flying Oyster’s Dominating Win Against T1
In an unexpected turn of events in the BO1 against T1, CFO claimed a huge win and went one step closer to the Knockout Stage. CFO’s choice to give their best bot laner a chance on Draven – Chiu ‘Doggo’ Tzu-chuan – paid dividends. Doggo put on a great performance over here. He had a perfect game with a KDA of 6/0/12. A solo first blood early into the match and a specific aggressive play during a teamfight helped them accomplish this.
Moreover, the gameplay of Yu ‘JunJia’ Chun-chia on Qiyana and the brilliant ultimates of Tsai ‘HongQ’ Ming-Hong on Ryze helped CFO to a dominant victory of 25-11 after 32 minutes of play.
G2 Esports and FlyQuest Win Regional Tournaments
G2 Esports took on MKOI in the Swiss Stage round, a battle similar to the LEC Summer Split finals. Though MKOI went ahead early, G2’s composition of Yunara and LeBlanc and more was strong enough for G2 to start getting the upper hand on the Rift and finish with a 20-7 victory at the 28-minute mark.
FlyQuest, however, pulled a turnaround after losing to T1 as they beat Vivo Keyd Stars in a rematch. FlyQuest mid laner Song ‘Quad’ Su-hyeong played Viktor to perfection, ending with a 9/0/9 KDA. Meanwhile, Kacper ‘Inspired’ Słoma’s Wukong was critical in their crushing 26-5 victory over Golden Guardians. The match concluded with a 16,000 gold lead for FlyQuest in 32 minutes.
Anyone’s Legend achieves a stunning win over Gen.G
Gen.G had been considered one of the tournament’s favourites, but the squad suffered a surprising defeat to China’s Anyone’s Legend. In a closely contested game, with a score of 16-10 in favour of the bread units, we saw Gen.G find an upper hand in the third drama when Park ‘Ruler’ Jae-hyuk’s Kai’Sai got himself a triple kill. However, an essential dragon steal by Anybody’s Legend’s Lee ‘Tarzan’ Seung-yong paved the way for their comeback.
Anyone’s Legend faced pressure from Gen.G, who secured the Cloud Dragon Soul at 25 minutes, followed by a team fight at Elder Dragon.
