Riot Games has officially begun the pre-registration phase for VALORANT Mobile, announced during Tencent Spark 2025. This marks four years since the mobile version of the popular tactical shooter was first revealed.
To bring the mobile adaptation to life, Riot Games has partnered with Lightspeed Studios, a development company widely recognized for its involvement in creating games such as PUBG Mobile. The launch of VALORANT Mobile will begin exclusively in China.
Collaboration with Lightspeed Studios
According to Anna Donlon, the Head of VALORANT Studios, the early build presented by Lightspeed Studios successfully captured the spirit of the original game. Donlon noted that from the initial demo, it was evident that the developers grasped the core identity of VALORANT. She added that their deep understanding of the game’s principles and alignment with Riot’s vision made them an ideal partner for the project.
Global Preparations and Testing
Extensive playtesting has already been conducted within China, with additional support from some of the top mobile gaming professionals around the globe. These efforts have been aimed at ensuring the mobile version delivers the polished gameplay experience fans expect. The official trailer for VALORANT Mobile has also been released and showcases the current state of the game.

How to Register and What Players Can Earn
Pre-Registration Portal for Chinese Players
Players located in China can now pre-register for upcoming test phases directly through the official website. At this stage, users from other regions must wait for further announcements regarding availability in their areas.
Donlon explained that China, known for having one of the most competitive and engaged mobile FPS communities, is the ideal market to launch first. Given Lightspeed Studios’ established presence and expertise in the region, the decision to start locally before rolling out internationally aligns with Riot’s broader release strategy.
Playtest Rewards and In-Game Items
Participants in the test phase will have the opportunity to unlock unique in-game items. By completing specific missions, players can earn up to four exclusive playercards, which will be available only during the pre-registration event. These rewards serve both as collectibles and proof of participation in the early stages of VALORANT Mobile.
What’s Next for VALORANT Mobile
While Riot has not revealed the precise launch date for the next round of playtesting, they have confirmed that it is expected to arrive soon. Further updates and announcements regarding regional availability and future developments are anticipated in the near future.
