Riot Games has officially announced that Da Nang City, Vietnam will serve as the venue for the highly anticipated 2025 League of Legends Pacific (LCP) Season Finals Weekend. The event, taking place between July and September 2025, will feature a total prize pool of $80,000 and mark the crowning of the first-ever LCP champion.
Competing Teams and Group Distribution
A total of eight teams will be competing at the finals — four partnered teams and four guest organizations. The partnered line-up includes CTBC Flying Oyster, Fukuoka SoftBank HAWKS, GAM Esports, and PSG Talon. Guest participants will be Chiefs Esports Club, DetonatioN FocusMe, Secret Whales, and Vikings Esports.
These teams will be split into two groups determined by their mid-season standings. The top four will enter the Contender Group, while the remaining four will be placed in the Breakout Group.
Group Stage Mechanics and the Path Forward
The initial stage will follow a single round-robin format. In this phase, the top two teams from the Contender Group and the lowest two from the Breakout Group will stay in their respective groups. The other four teams will enter the Group Breaker round to fight for group reassignment.
In the Group Breaker matches, the fourth-ranked Contender team will face the leading team from the Breakout Group, while the third Contender team will clash with the Breakout Group’s second-best. Winners from these showdowns will move into the Contender Group; the defeated teams will return to the Breakout bracket.
Playoffs, Format, and Worlds 2025 Qualification
After group adjustments, all teams in the Contender Group — along with the top two from the Breakout Group — will move on to the playoffs. This final phase of the tournament will use a double-elimination format and will follow the Fearless Draft ruleset. The top three finishers will secure qualification for the 2025 League of Legends World Championship.
While the overall event timeframe has been confirmed, Riot Games has yet to release the detailed match schedule.
