Virtus.pro Unveils Epic Fundraiser to Save Polar Bears

Virtus.pro has embarked on an inspiring mission to support the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) in its polar bear conservation efforts. The renowned esports team is leveraging its platform to raise £5,000 (~$6,660) through a dynamic fundraising campaign, using a compelling promotional video to drive awareness among their followers.

Virtus.pro, an Overwatch 2 team, has taken a significant step by launching a campaign aimed at raising crucial funds for polar bear conservation. The initiative is actively running on the Tiltify website, inviting fans to engage by donating or promoting the campaign. So far, contributions have surpassed £630, reflecting the community’s growing commitment to the cause.

Virtus.pro’s Commitment to Wildlife Conservation

The symbol of the polar bear has been synonymous with Virtus.pro for over two decades, embodying strength and resilience. The organization recognizes the perilous conditions facing polar bears today and is committed to aiding WWF in its mission to safeguard these majestic creatures. By connecting their global esports audience to this vital cause, Virtus.pro aims to foster a collective effort towards wildlife preservation.

This campaign follows WWF’s previous collaborations with esports teams, such as the 2021 partnership with Ninjas in Pyjamas for the Earth Hour campaign. These efforts highlight the powerful role esports can play in promoting environmental sustainability and wildlife protection.

Esports and Charity Efforts in 2025

The esports industry continues to be a formidable platform for charitable initiatives, engaging millions worldwide. FlyQuest recently announced a charitable endeavor during the League of Legends Worlds 2025, collaborating with T1 to donate based on their tournament performance. Similarly, Riot Games has been proactive, organizing in-game fundraisers for VALORANT and League of Legends to aid those impacted by the Los Angeles wildfires, with all proceeds directed to their Social Impact Fund.

Virtus.pro’s latest fundraising effort comes on the heels of their participation in the Overwatch Champions Series for the 2025 season, where they finished sixth in EMEA Stage 3. Although they missed the chance to compete in the World Finals at DreamHack Stockholm, their charitable campaign has captured the hearts of many, reinforcing the powerful synergy between esports and philanthropy.
