Warzone’s Global Showdown Returns: World Series of Warzone 2025 Kicks Off

The World Series of Warzone (WSOW) is back for 2025, reigniting the competitive spirit in Call of Duty: Warzone with a high-stakes tournament. This year’s championship brings a total prize pool of $1 million, with elite trios from around the world fighting for their share.

Kicking off on June 20, the road to glory starts with the In-Game Open—available to players worldwide. Competitors will attempt to secure their place at the WSOW Grand Final through a series of intense stages and regional battles.

Verdansk Makes Its Competitive Comeback

The entire 2025 WSOW season will unfold on Verdansk, the iconic original Warzone map, which was recently reintroduced. This return to the classic battleground adds a nostalgic edge to what promises to be a gripping tournament.

Format and Timeline: From Open Qualifiers to Grand Finals

In-Game Open (June 20–22)

North American and EMEA players will first enter through open qualifiers. Teams will be scored based on their ten best matches, with the top 100 trios from each region advancing to the Group Play Gauntlet.

Group Play (July 7–16)

Qualified teams will be sorted into four separate groups. Each group will compete against the others in a five-match format. From here, the 25 best teams move forward to the Qualifier Finals, while the bottom ten are eliminated. The rest proceed to a Last Chance Qualifier (LCQ) in August.

International Pathways

For players in APAC, LATAM North, and LATAM South, qualification comes through a Private Match Competition. The slots are limited—one team from APAC, four from LATAM North, and three from LATAM South will progress to the next phase.

Final Showdown: WSOW Grand Final and Second Chances

The regional finals will determine the 15 leading teams from each zone who will battle at the WSOW Global Final. Additionally, five more squads will join the finals via the LCQ, along with a wildcard entry. Specifics on the final event, including the location and schedule, are expected to be revealed soon.

Looking Back: Last Year’s Legacy

The 2024 WSOW Grand Final unfolded in Las Vegas, where 34 teams clashed for a $950,000 prize pool. Team Falcons triumphed, led by the talented trio of Andrew Diaz (known in-game as Biffle), Kasimili Tongamoa (Soka), and Shifty.
