Wild Rift Unveils Its First Exclusive Champion

League of Legends: Wild Rift is gearing up for an exciting new chapter. The popular mobile MOBA game is set to introduce its first exclusive champion, designed solely for the mobile platform, in 2026. Fans were thrilled when this announcement was made during Wild Rift’s 5th Anniversary livestream, sparking widespread curiosity and excitement.

Riot Games has hinted that this new champion will be a mid-lane mage, although further details remain under wraps. Community speculation suggests that the character could be Norra, Yuumi’s elusive master from Runeterra lore. However, Riot has yet to confirm any names.

With over 125 characters already adapted from the League PC game, this new addition reaffirms Riot Games’ commitment to expanding Wild Rift’s universe. The fifth anniversary celebration also included the release of a new anthem, “Miss This Life,” featuring aespa’s NINGNING.

Wild Rift Unveils On-Ground Community Event

In addition to the announcement of a new champion, the livestream revealed plans for the Wild Rift Round Smash event. This major community gathering will take place in Vietnam from November 14th to 16th and is set to be the most significant Wild Rift event of the year.

The event will host competitions for 5v5 and 1v1 ARAM matches, with teams qualifying through regional competitions or invitations. Participants will hail from countries such as Vietnam, Turkey, the Philippines, Korea, Brazil, and two professional teams from China. Fans can look forward to live broadcasts and YouTube drops throughout the event.

Alongside these festivities, Riot Games is introducing exclusive Wild Rift content linked to the ongoing League of Legends World Championship 2025 in China, with the grand finals taking place on November 9th.
