Wildcard Reveals Exciting New CS2 Lineup for 2026

North American esports organization Wildcard has completely revamped its Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) lineup for the 2026 season. This fresh roster marks a new direction for Wildcard, which underwent numerous team changes throughout 2025.

Jaxon ‘Peeping’ Cornwell is the only returning player from Wildcard’s final event of 2025. He is joined by Miłosz ‘mhL’ Knasiak and Simon ‘sSen’ Solnæs Iversen from Wildcard Academy, alongside Anthony ‘CLASIA’ Kearney and former M80 player Ethan ‘reck’ Serrano.

Roster Changes and Player Backgrounds

The lineup changes come after Wildcard benched Peter ‘stanislaw’ Jarguz, Joshua ‘JBa’ Barutt, and Love ‘phzy’ Smidebrant in November 2025, following their failure to qualify for the StarLadder Budapest Major. Reck’s arrival ends his four-month period on the M80 bench, where he played at the BLAST.tv Austin Major, achieving a top 22 finish.

CLASIA is well-known in North American Counter-Strike circles, having played for teams such as Gaimin Gladiators, SkinRave, and BLUEJAYS in his extensive seven-year career.

What Next For Wildcard?

With Peeping as the only carryover from the previous roster, which was ranked 83rd in December 2025’s Valve Regional Standings (VRS), Wildcard essentially hits the reset button. The new team must participate in various ranked events to accumulate VRS points, which are crucial for securing invitations to prestigious tournaments and potentially earning a spot among the 32 teams at Counter-Strike’s Majors.

Wildcard is set to make its tournament debut at Miami Frag2, hosted by Fragadelphia, from January 2nd to 4th. Here, teams from Europe and North America will battle for VRS points and a share of an $8,000 (~£5,953) prize pool.
