Xbox Game Pass Announces First Wave of April 2025 Titles

Microsoft has officially announced the lineup of titles coming to Xbox Game Pass in the first half of April 2025, featuring a robust mix of acclaimed first- and third-party games. A Strong Start to April

The month begins with a notable wave of new entries on April 3, led by Borderlands 3 Ultimate Edition, which will be accessible across Cloud, Console, and PC platforms for all tiers of Game Pass. The same day brings additional titles including All You Need Is Help (Console), Still Wakes the Deep (Xbox Series X|S), and Wargroove 2 (Console), which will all become available through the Game Pass Standard subscription.

These early April additions offer a substantial range of gameplay experiences. However, more major titles are set to follow just days later. On April 8, South of Midnight (Cloud, PC, Xbox Series X|S) and Diablo III: Reaper of Souls – Ultimate Evil Edition (Console and PC) will join the service, accessible to all Game Pass subscribers.

Spotlight on South of Midnight

South of Midnight, developed by Compulsion Games, is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated Game Pass releases of the year. Set in the American Deep South, this folklore-inspired adventure introduces players to a world full of mythical creatures and ancient powers. According to Microsoft’s description, the game invites users to “explore the mythos and confront mysterious creatures of the Deep South in this modern folktale while learning to weave an ancient power to surmount obstacles and face the pain haunting your hometown.” Its addition to Game Pass is expected to attract significant attention.

More Titles Arriving Mid-Month

The rollout continues with additional games arriving for PC Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate subscribers. On April 9, Commandos: Origins (Cloud, PC, Xbox Series X|S) will be added, followed by Blue Prince (Cloud, PC, Xbox Series X|S) on April 10. The first wave of releases concludes on April 15 with the PC-exclusive Hunt: Showdown 1896.

Game Pass Perks in April

Alongside the game releases, Xbox Game Pass perks are also receiving updates. These include the Beyond the Void Bundle for The First Descendant, the Sweet Starter Pack for Candy Crush Solitaire on mobile, and a special Seventh Serving Emote for Sea of Thieves in celebration of an anniversary event.
