With the release of its June update, Xbox continues to build toward its goal of one unified gaming platform. This huge update brings many new features, allowing for Xbox to become closer to letting players access their whole library in a single place, regardless of where it came from.
Game Aggregation: The Core of Xbox’s Future Vision
The biggest update feature is the ability to launch Steam games directly from the Xbox PC tool now. This feature embodies Xbox’s forward-looking intention to unify the PC and Xbox ecosystems so players can access all their games across different stores and consoles from one interface.
The ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X will get a combined gaming library this holiday season. You can open games from Xbox Game Pass, Battle.net and other top PC shops from one library in the Xbox PC app, straightforwardly.
The Xbox PC app will automatically find games that are already installed from other PC gaming stores and aggregate them into library sections. The existing screenshots only showcase Battle.net incorporation, but Microsoft has indicated that further PC stores will be integrated later.
Co-Pilot for Gaming Beta
Also, the mobile has the Co-Pilot for Gaming Beta tool. This AI helper will assist players in getting through difficulties, solving puzzles or finding solutions without the need to leave the game and search the web or view a YouTube video.
You can already use Co-Pilot on the Xbox mobile app on iOS and Android if you’re a beta user, plus it’ll be coming to the ROG Xbox Ally this holiday season.

Console UI Improvements
Users of Xbox consoles are in for a treat.
- Players are now able to hide system apps, pin their favorites to the lists, and limit the number of tiles displayed.
- Game Hubs are now available to everyone, and you can find info like friend activity, game stats, playtime, achievements, any available add-ons, and your captures before launching the game.
- We improved the save process for cloud gaming so you can better track your progress and device used, when it was saved, and issue update screenshots.
Xbox Heading to Gamescom 2025
Xbox has confirmed its return to Gamescom 2025, bringing Bethesda Softworks and World of Warcraft along. An occasion will be held from August 20-24, in Cologne, Germany. With their booth at the BlizzCon 2023 exhibition hall, the World of Warcraft team will be showcasing “Midnight” and five days of community celebration.
Game Sales Success Stories
Age of Empires 4 has sold over 4 million copies. That’s quite impressive! Having a console game must have helped reach an audience far beyond just PC users.
Dune Awakening has also been doing good because it has sold over 1 million copies since June 10. The game has seen a concurrent player peak of 189,000 on Steam.
THQ Nordic Digital Showcase Announced
THQ Nordic Digital Showcase 2025 is going to happen on August 1. The event will contain world premiere announcements and updates on previously announced titles. One new game that may be shown at TMNT is The Last Ronin, a very highly anticipated TMNT game.
Build a Rocket Boy Facing Layoffs After Mind’s Eye Failure
After the failure of Mind’s Eye, developer Build a Rocket Boy are likely to incur massive layoffs. According to reports, more than 100 staff could be impacted by the announcement of a 45-day consultation at the Edinburgh-based developer.
Before Mind’s Eye even released, many people were concerned about the game’s prospects due to its lack of marketing and what seemed to be quality problems. The studio might have to release the game in the current time for monetary purposes because the game appears incomplete at this time.
