While AMD’s Zen architecture already supports AVX512, the introduction of AVX-512 FP16 is set to enhance the processing prowess of future Zen iterations, complemented by the inclusion of VNNI INT8 in its ISA. Additionally, reports suggest the discovery of a new Zen 6 CPU ID, B80F00, believed to be part of various Zen 6 families. The server-focused Venice lineup will debut in Classic and Dense variations, with each offering unique core and cache configurations.
Exploring the Zen 6 Architecture and Its Variants
The Venice Classic chips carry the SP7 “B50F00” SKUs, while the SP8 “B90F00” SKUs are designated for the dense line, which boasts up to 32 cores per CCX and a total of 1024 MB L3 cache. Beyond server applications, at least four client families are set to feature the Zen 6 core architecture. These include the high-performance AM5 “Olympic Ridge,” capable of supporting up to 24 cores and 48 threads, as well as the Gator Range, Medusa Point, and Medusa Halo. The multi-chip module designs will utilize the TSMC N2P process node, while monolithic offerings will employ TSMC N3P/N3C nodes.
AMD’s Financial Analyst Day is imminent, and while some Zen 6 teasers may be unveiled, major announcements are expected at CES 2026. Enthusiasts and professionals alike eagerly anticipate the performance leaps these new processors promise to deliver.
